The First Baptist School of Charleston was established as a mission of the First Baptist Church of Charleston in 1949, under the direction of Dr. John A. Hamrick Sr.  Now, celebrating its 60th year, First Baptist School continues to advance the mission of Academic Excellence with a Christian Perspective.
