Drama at FBS

Upper School Drama  The First Baptist Drama program is open to students in grades 8-12 and puts on an annual Broadway-style production during the Spring semester.  Beginning in the Fall of 2015, the Fine Arts Department will be offering a stand alone drama class for grades 9-12 students which will fulfill the Fine Arts graduation requirement.

Auditions for Spring Production occur each year during the week before Thanksgiving Break, with rehearsals beginning in January.  Any student is eligible, but must commit to assigned after-school rehearsals which will occur intermittently between January and the show dates.

Previous performances include the Spring 2014 performance of "Sophisticuff", a Broadway, TV and Movie Revue, the Spring 2015 performance of "Happy Days: The Musical" and the 2016 performance of "Sherlock Holmes and the Giant Rat of Sumatra."
