2. Joye Law Firm will offer six $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall. Selection of the recipients will be based on a creative response to the following prompt: "South Carolina recently proposed a new version of the “SC Hands Free Act” that would outlaw the use of a phone for almost any reason and increase the fines. Do you believe there are more changes to cell phone laws in your state that should be changed? Do you think the rate of distracted driving accidents would decrease if these laws were different?" Open House Opportunities:
Spring semester is an ideal time for juniors to visit colleges!
University of South Carolina Beaufort will host an open house event for juniors on
Saturday, February 29, check in begins at 8:30am.
Students will learn about the college search process at USCB, including admissions, financial aid and scholarships, student life and our areas of study. Students and guests will have the chance to meet key administrators on campus, along with our current students. Lunch is provided.

Juniors are encouraged to register for the SAT and/or the ACT spring testing.
