Camp is not in session July 2-5 for the Fourth of July holiday.

Our extended program operates from 3:00pm-5:00pm on the James Island campus for $10 a day or $40 for the week. Payments for extended day are due in full Friday before your camper is dismissed. Camp closes promptly at 5:00PM.
*After one instance of late pick-up, a charge of $1 per minute after 5:00PM will be added to your camp account to compensate for extra staff hours.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday campers rotate between art, STEAM, drama, Bible, Coding, P.E., and yoga classes taught by certified educators.
Campers will go on field trips every Wednesday morning.

Water days will be held every Friday for campers at the pool, JI Splash Pad, or our James Island Campus.
Campers will attend First Baptist Church Vacation Bible School the week of June 28-July 1. Campers attending are required to register.

I'm the teacher assistant for both kindergarten classes at First Baptist School. I love working with children of all ages and have over 25 plus years of experience. I'll be teaching drama this summer and can't wait share my passion for having fun with all of the campers. I am a mom of two fantastic children, Sean (15yo) and Laila (12yo). I know that this summer is going to be out of the ordinary but rest assured I will be with your children every step of the way. I can't wait to meet all of you.
My name is Andrew Murphy! I am a senior at the University of South Carolina where I am a football equipment manager. This will be my 4th summer working at the First Baptist summer camp and I am just as excited as I was the first summer! I can’t wait to get back to some form of normalcy with the kids this summer!
My name is Devin Dean, I’m 20, I graduated from First Baptist in 2019 and now I attend Bob Jones University this will be my junior year, I’m on the men's basketball team and majoring in Child development. After school I’m hoping to become a Child life specialist or playing basketball overseas. I worked at the camp for the past two years so this year will be my third year. I’m very excited to be with the kids once again and have a better summer than last year.
Hello! My name is Celia Wood and I will be graduating next year from the College of Charleston where I am studying to become an elementary school teacher. I’m from upstate South Carolina but I am excited to spend the summer here in Charleston! I will be teaching art at camp this year and I think we are going to have a blast!
My name is Jenn McConnell! I am an upcoming senior at the College of Charleston. I am studying in Early Childhood Education. I am originally from Georgetown, SC. So, I am still close to home which is nice. One fun fact about me is I just recently this year adopted a 8 year old bulldog who has become my own baby! I am so excited for this summer and making so many fun memories with the kids at FBS
I will be teaching the Physical Education portion of Summer Camp this year for First Baptist School! I have just completed my first year at First Baptist but my 12th year of teaching. I love to travel, try new adventures, and teach amazing kids to learn new games and sports! In camp this summer, we will do Handball, Indoor Hockey, Soccer (my favorite), as well as other fun activities! The kids will also learn what good Sportsmanship is and how it should be demonstrated whether they win or lose. I am excited for Summer Camp and looking forward to the great things that will happen!!

This will be my second year working at the First Baptist Summer Camp, and I'm hoping to make it a great time for everyone involved. Hello my name is Mackenzie Bryan. I graduated from First Baptist in 2019 where I attend for 4 years. I am currently a junior at Winthrop University studying Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. I was born and raised in Charleston SC. This will be my 3rd year at Summer camp and I am so excited see the returning kids and meet new faces
Hi! My name is Grace Thompson. I’m a sophomore at University of South Carolina Honors College majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This is my second year as a Camp Counselor here and I’m super excited to meet all the new kiddos! I’m most looking forward to the field trips we are able to go on and the weekly themes we have set up for this summer!
My name is Noah Hisker and I was raised in upstate South Carolina. I attended James F. Byrnes high school where I was a varsity lacrosse player and wrestler. I am currently studying Psychology at the University Of South Carolina in Columbia with plans to graduate in Spring 2022.
