May 31-June 4 and July 5-8 are 4-Day weeks and tuition will be reduced to $190.

Extended Program

*Our extended program operates from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm for $10 a day or $40 for the week. Payments for extended day are due in full Friday before your camper is dismissed. Camp closes promptly at 5:00 pm.


After one instance of late pick-up, a charge of $1 per minute after 5:00 pm will be added to your camp account to compensate for extra staff hours.

Get ready for summer fun!

The FBS Hurricanes Summer Camp is open to rising K3-5th graders. Campers do not have to attend First Baptist School of Charleston to attend. Younger campers must be potty trained to attend camp.


Non-FBS students must provide an Emergency Contact Form to keep on file.

Camp Fees:

  • Registration Fee - $15

  • Full week of camp - $220

  • Three days a week - $180.

  • 25% discount for each additional child.

  • We will only be offering three day and full week tuition rates.

  • Extended Day: $10 a day or $40 a week

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday campers rotate between art, STEAM, drama, Bible, Coding, P.E., Karate, and yoga classes taught by certified educators.

Field Trips

Campers will go on field trips every Wednesday morning.

Tomika Halls (Ms. Mika)

Activity Director

I'm the teacher assistant for both kindergarten classes at First Baptist School. I love working with children of all ages and have over 25 plus years of experience. I'll be teaching drama this summer and can't wait share my passion for having fun with all of the campers. I am a mom of two fantastic children, Sean (15yo) and Laila (12yo). I know that this summer is going to be out of the ordinary but rest assured I will be with your children every step of the way. I can't wait to meet all of you.


Kayla Hatchell

Art Teacher

My name is Kayla Hatchell, and I was born and raised right here in Charleston, SC. I am the Middle School Art teacher and K2 Assistant at First Baptist. I am a First Baptist alum and currently my husband and I have two children, Hope and Lane, who also attend First Baptist. You can either find me on the water, in the woods or cheering on my children at their games or performances. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and love of art with students by helping them spark their own creativity while having fun this Summer. 


Rachel Parham

Head Camp Counselor

My name is Rachel Parham, and this will be my second year at First Baptist Summer Camp! I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, graduating from College of Charleston studying Elementary Education. I continued working with FBS this year in the aftercare program and cannot wait for all the fun activities we have planned for summer! This year I have been given the opportunity to work as head counselor, and I am so excited for the experience and to continue working with all of the amazing campers from last year! Outside of school, you can find me at the beach reading a good book, taking walks with my dog, or baking!

My name is Amanda Blackburn! I am from Greenville, South Carolina and I will be a senior at the College of Charleston next fall! I love to explore Charleston by trying new restaurants and going on walks. I also love to spend time at the beach and hang out with my friends! I am so excited for summer camp! I have worked at First Baptist’s aftercare program and I know the school very well! It will be my first summer living in Charleston so I am so happy to be spending it at camp! I am an Early Childhood Education major and summer camp will allow me even more experience working with children! I can’t wait to be a camp counselor for the 1st-2nd grade age group!!


Abby Stowe

Hello! My name is Abby Stowe and I am so pumped for this summer! I am currently finishing up my year at the College of Charleston where I am studying Elementary Education and working as a peer facilitator. I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, and moved to Charleston in 2019 for college! When I'm not at school, you can find me running, hiking, reading, and spending a ton of time at the beach. I am so excited to spend the summer doing so many fun activities around Charleston and getting to know all of the campers!


David Krueger

My name is David Krueger, I’m originally from Rock Hill, SC and I just finished my first-year teaching Elementary Bible at the Charleston Christian School. I have always loved working with kids and teaching the gospel and am so pumped to be able to do it over the summer at First Baptist! I love everything related to the outdoors, country music and spending time with friends and family.


Ava Wood

My name is Ava Wood, and I can’t wait to begin working with the camp this summer! I am 17 years old, and I will be going into my freshman year at College of Charleston in the fall. I can’t wait to work with the other counselors to make this a great experience for each kid!


Anne Redner

Camp Director

Hello! I have had the great opportunity to work for FBS for the last 3 years! I have been teaching for 13 years as well as overseas teaching experience. I love to travel and see new things. I am really excited for Summer Camp and getting to know all of your wonderful kiddos! We are looking forward to the adventures ahead!


Anna Gervais

STEAM Teacher

My name is Anna Gervais and I am originally from Wendell, NC. My husband, Sam, and I currently live on Johns Island with our 2-year-old son, Paul, and our dog, Bear. We love to play outside! You will best find us at a park, on the beach, in the woods, or in a boat. I am entering my third year as the Middle School Science teacher at First Baptist School. I have previous experience in early childhood classrooms and in outdoor education. I am looking forward to working with summer camp as the STEM teacher and allowing the children to play, create, and ask questions!

I am from Charleston, SC. Some of my favorite activities are crocheting, being creative, and all things computers. Things I look forward to in camp is working with the children and learning new things. I am excited to be working with the K5 age group at camp!

Hello! My name is Chloe, and I am from Greenville, SC and I’m a rising senior at COFC! I’ve been working at First Baptist this year and am very excited to do summer camp as well! My favorite activities are painting, listening to music, going on walks with my dogs, and studying for nursing school! I’m looking forward to being a positive outlet and mentor to the 3rd-5th grade group this summer!


Grace Thompson

Hi, I am Grace Thompson! I am from Charleston, SC and I graduated from FBS in 2020. Currently, I live in Columbia, SC and am going to pharmacy school at UofSC in the fall. In my free time, I love to walk and hike around in nature, crochet, and read. I also love playing with my two kitties, Winston & Coraline! Although I will only be helping out during July, I am super excited to come back as a counselor! This will be third summer working at Summer Camp, so I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and how much they have grown as well as new faces! 


Erin Jones

Hello, I am Erin Jones! I ventured down to the Lowcountry from Greenville, South Carolina to attend College of Charleston. In May, I will graduate with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education. I am thrilled to be teaching sixth grade science next year in Charleston County. Outside of the classroom you can find me at a coffee shop reading, practicing cello, in the yoga studio, or exploring historic sites downtown. I look forward to getting to know some awesome kiddos, learn, explore, play, and make great memories all summer long. 


Noah Hisker

My name is Noah Hisker, and I was born in Columbia, SC and raised in Duncan, SC.  I graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2022 and plan on attending Charleston School of Law in the coming fall.  My favorite things to do are to relax by the beach, hangout with friends, and snowboard.  I also enjoy hiking, listening to music, and traveling.  I am looking forward to having a great experience at camp this summer and ensuring that everybody has a great day every day and that much can be learned while having fun!  Having had such a great summer last year I know this summer will only be better. 


Celia Wood

My name is Celia Wood, and I can’t wait for summer camp! I graduated this year from College of Charleston with a degree in elementary education and I plan on teaching upper elementary next year here in Charleston. This will be my second summer doing First Baptist’s summer camp so I am looking forward to getting back to all of the fun! Some of my favorite things to do are to try new restaurants, be outside in the sun, and be with my friends and family. I can’t wait to see everyone soon!


Bailey Clark

Hello everyone! My name is Bailey Clark, and I am thrilled to be joining FBS both for summer camp, and in the fall for school. I am originally from North Carolina but have been living with my husband in Charleston for about 2 years.


During the year, I teach full time. I especially love reading, writing, being in the sunshine, and spending time with my husband, and our cat, Georgia. This summer is going to be a blast and I cannot wait to see what memories we get to make over the next few months!
