High School
Community Service
First Baptist School has a long standing tradition of helping our greater community. Students in 9th -12th grades are required to complete 20 hours per year that they are in attendance at FBS; National Honor Society members are required to complete 25 per year. These forms can be found on FACTS, also.
Please review this document and complete the CS form. Once the form is completed, upload it to this Google Form and keep the CF form for your records.
Community Service Reporting - this must be completed by the student logged into their school account.

Lowcountry Orphan Relief
Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) is excited to announce the launch of our new Student Service League, designed to provide students with meaningful opportunities to earn community service hours without requiring them to volunteer on-site at our facility. LOR provides Care Kits with clothing, toiletries and school supplies to children entering foster care.

The program is open to middle and high school students who need service hours for graduation requirements, National Honor Society (NHS), or other school-related service requirements. Please note that Student Service League hours cannot be used to fulfill court-ordered community service.
How the Program Works
LOR invites students to organize a four-week collection drive to help us gather some of the items most needed by the children and families we serve.
To participate, students will:
-
Contact Lowcountry Orphan Relief (info@lorkids.org) and complete a simple online registration form.
-
Conduct a collection drive for one of LOR's requested items over a four-week period.
-
Collect a minimum of six medium-sized trash bags of the selected item.
-
Earn one service hour for each week of the collection drive, for a potential total of four service hours.
Completing Your Service Hours
At the conclusion of the collection drive, students must schedule an appointment with LOR to drop off their collected items. At this appointment, LOR will:
-
Verify and approve the collection.
-
Provide the student with a certificate recognizing their service.
-
Complete or sign any required service-hour documentation.
-
Take a photo of the student with their donation, if desired.
The Student Service League is a great way for students to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in need while fulfilling their community service requirements.
