High School Math Teacher

This posting is for the 2024/2025 school year. Academic Area(s): Algebra and Geometry Duties: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages student participation. - Provide instruction in various subjects, such as math, science, English, history, or foreign languages. - Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities. - Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, and provide constructive feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects or initiatives. - Foster a supportive and respectful classroom culture that promotes academic growth and personal development. - Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Experience - Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Valid teaching certification or license in the relevant subject area (Preferred). - Proven experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional delivery. - Strong knowledge of the subject matter and ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students. - Experience mentoring or tutoring students to support their academic success. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficient in proofreading and providing constructive feedback on student work. - Familiarity with education administration processes and procedures. - Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. - Experience teaching at the high school level or higher education teaching experience.
