Visit Campus

Interested parents and students are invited to visit First Baptist School’s James Island and downtown Charleston campuses. Our preschool, lower and intermediate schools, and middle school are located in the downtown area, and our high school is located on James Island. Each campus location offers its own unique charms and advantages, and students who progress through our school are able to take full advantage of the opportunities and experiences found on both campuses.

Schedule a Tour

Our private, Christian school in downtown Charleston puts students just steps away from some of our country and state’s most important historical sites, and campus visitors are invited to explore the South of Broad area that surrounds our facilities. The James Island campus boasts first-rate athletic facilities and fully-equipped classrooms, all of which is nestled on a 40-acre parcel of land and bordered by a serene live oak forest.

Visitors to either campus will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet teachers and students, and experience classes. On any given day, visitors might watch students measure the density of matter in science class, create self-portraits in art, or facilitate a Socratic seminar in English class. Visitors can also meet and interact with our faculty, each of whom holds mastery in his or her subject area and excels in integrating the Christian faith and academics.

While visiting either campus, visitors will learn about our competitive sports teams, highly-regarded arts programs, and after-school activities and programs. Visitors will also receive information about First Baptist School’s spiritual life and the integration of faith and academics.

To schedule a campus visit or to inquire about the school, please contact Sally Casias, Director of Lower School Admissions (843-722-6646, ext. 1206; lowerschooladmissions@fbschool.org) or Beth Switzer, Director of Upper School Admissions (843-410-1606, ext. 1107; upperschooladmissions@fbschool.org) for more information.
