Please welcome Dr. Melanie Murphy to FBS!
Dr. Murphy is excited to join the First Baptist School as a Freshman English Teacher. She is passionate in teaching young adults to explore and embrace literary especially through great works of literature. Dr. Murphy has teaching experience at the middle level, high school, and college level. Her teaching experience includes private and public education in all Trident school districts. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Education, a Specialist in Education, and a Doctor of Education.
As a native Charlestonian, she looks forward to cultivating a new relationship with the family of First Baptist School. She wants to create an engaging classroom for her students.
