End of Year Update

Writer: First Baptist SchoolFirst Baptist School

Following the state government’ orders and SCISA recommendations for public and private schools, First Baptist School has decided to keep both of our campuses closed for the remainder of the school year while continuing with distance learning. As a school administration, we feel this decision is what is best for the overall health of our students, families, faculty, and staff.

With the adjustments made to the school calendar, we have also decided to cancel final exams for students in grades 6-12. Exam cancellations do not apply to Advanced Placement and Dual Credit Courses.

On Friday, May 15th, all regularly scheduled classwork will end. However, campus administration and teachers may require students that have not completed assignments or met distance learning expectations to work May 18-22, continuing the regular daily distance learning schedule. Specific academic information and event cancellations/rescheduling will be communicated by your child’s respective campus principal beginning next week.

We love all of our First Baptist School families, and we are praying for all of you.

Blessings,

Jeremy Blackstock
