Greetings, First Baptist Community!
As we close out the 2021/2022 academic year, we reflect on how God has blessed us. We were able to return to so many FBS traditions that Covid-19 has prevented us from doing over the last several years. Additionally, we have been able to celebrate the many achievements of our students, including returning our high school graduation to the First Baptist Church sanctuary, the cornerstone of this hallmark event since 1959.
This special edition of the Hurricane Watch offers a review of our year as well as honoring the FBS Class of 2022.
Since the inception of FBS, our community has always taken pride in being a college preparatory school. The FBS Class of 2022 had 46 graduates with an average GPA of 4.11. Collectively, our graduating class was awarded 4.3 million dollars in scholarships.
Our graduates’ plans for next year attest to the broad reach and limitless opportunities our FBS are afforded, including the following:
Three Palmetto Fellows
Eleven students will attend out-of-state colleges
Eight students will attend USC
Seven students will attend Clemson
Seven students will attend Christian colleges
Two students will attend The Citadel
Two students will enroll in Honors colleges, including USC Honors College
Two students will study abroad
Ten students plan to participate in college athletics
Congratulations, FBS Class of 2022! We are proud of you and look forward to seeing how God blesses you on the road that lies ahead.
We invite you to stay up to date with current events by following First Baptist School’s social media and our school webpage. #WeAreFB
Be Blessed!
