First Baptist School is excited to welcome the prestigious Yale Whiffenpoofs, the nation's oldest a cappella group, to our campus on November 4, 2019. The famous group has been singing and traveling the world since 1909.

According to their website, the Whiffenpoofs formed when five members of the prestigious Yale Glee Club gathered during a cold January night more than 100 years ago. They began to meet regularly and would practice harmonizing to their favorite songs. Their fame on campus grew, and the Whiffenpoofs have carried on ever since.

The "Whiffs" will host an after school workshop for First Baptist School students on November 4, and then will perform a concert at 6:00 pm that evening in the church sanctuary. All are welcome to attend! Tickets will be sold at the door (adults, $20 and children/students, $10). Children 5 and under are free to attend.
